Howth! (Again!)

31 07 2011

Better late than never! Here’s two shots from Howth taken this day last week. There’s some mad filtering going on here – a mixture of NDs, ND grads and then waving my hands about in front of the lens mid-long-exposure, when things got brighter. It’s probably the last decent sunset of the summer, so feast your eyes upon this, feel nostalgic for last week and get your winter coat back out – It’s August tomorrow…

GPO @ 7am, October 2010

Went for a walk at 7am last week. After a class on photomerging, I photoshopped the hell out of the panorama of images I had.
I love it, personally – even if it is cheesy as hell.

The Hot Sprockets

3 09 2010

Dublin band The Hot Sprockets were on the bill at this week’s Phantom’s First Friday. I met up with the guys before the show for a few shots. While the above show is more in keeping with the band’s image and musical style, they weren’t afraid to try somethings a little more fun. These guys are a great talent and a great laugh. There’ll be more from these here in the future, hopefully.

And a go at a Libertines style shot:

Sunday Driver: Howth & Bull Island

19 04 2010

Make hay while the sun shines, and all that. After the most boring day in work ever, we headed to Howth while it was still bright. And then on to Bull Island. The plan was to try some strobist shots, but after some MAJOR TECHNICAL ISSUES (i.e dead batteries), I resigned to some landscapes. Click to view larger and download, if you want!
