Old images found & restored

19 08 2011

This week I was charged with formatting an old hard drive in the house. Thinking I’d the lot I needed from it, I hadn’t checked it in months. After a quick look around I found some from the Kerrang! Relentless Energy tour a few years back. I don’t know how I’d missed editing them the first time, so here they are. A little bit banded and desaturated (such are the problems when you shoot in .jpg!), but otherwise fine. The bands are My Passion, The Blackout and All Time Low. They were as bad as each other musically, but they made for some decent poses at least!

Fight Like Apes, Tripod, 28/11/2010

30 11 2010

Third bad gig in a row.

For whatever reason – and I even copped it but never adjusted it – I managed to change my shooting mode from Raw (Highest qaulity image capture available) to .Jpeg Basic (Lowest quality). So the pictures were tiny, couldn’t be edited to my normal liking and had no decent tones in them. It was a pity. I really like Fight Like Apes and MayKay (the singer pictured above) is a fantastic visual performer. The pictures don’t do the performance justice. Sara Devine’s do, though, so check them out! There’s even a review link there for the gig.

Hopefully I’ll get the chance to shoot them before the year is out – and not cock it up big time. Next up is Arcade Fire, so I’d best get the finger out.

Green Day, Marlay Park, 23/6/’10

Absolutely amazing fun, this one. Can’t say enough how much I enjoyed it. I shot Paramore and Joan Jett too – and you’ll be able to set the lot of them (and the rest of the Green Day ones) over on State when they appear. Frosty will also have his up soon – and they’re pretty damn good.

Oh, go on then, here’s one more:
